The Way Forward
With Lithium

Lithium, with an atomic number three (after hydrogen and helium) is the lightest solid element in the universe. It is an exceptional conductor of heat and electricity and these properties together with its light weight, contribute towards it being ideal for use in modern batteries. The long-term prospects for lithium are very strong, driven primarily by the expected growth in demand for lithium batteries for electric vehicles and a more sustainable way of living. Argentinian lithium brine projects in particular are recognised as being particularly attractive since they are amongst the lowest on the lithium carbonate cost curve, compared to hard rock lithium projects.

Lightweight

Lithium is the lightest of all metals, ideal for electromobility solutions.

Growing Demand

Vehicle and grid storage Industries are already heavily committed to lithium batteries – demand will continue to grow.

Solar Powered

Brine extraction of lithium is ‘solar powered’ – more sustainable than hard rock mining, better for the planet.
